See Spot Watch TV

So today I started my journey toward less TV intake and I have to say it has been a wondrous thing. I admit that I am among the hundred of Americas that watch way to much TV. I have a feeling that the munchies have taken me long ago my friends. It's nice actually having things to do that don't involve the 24 hour insatiable monster that is my television. For one I spend a lot more time on my Blog;-p It's a start right and it doesn't involve my orienting response or so says my Scientific American. Now dig this at one time we had to hunt for our food and we ourselves were in return hunted. So we developed this crazy thing called the orienting response to defend ourselves and haul ass when Saber-Tooths got hunger...that shit is Science my friends. Ok the cool part is that the people that bring you your friendly broadcast television shows know this information as well and like to use it to keep you glued to your TV...they also use a lot of memetics , thats another day.

Now the only thing that science is missing is that we have free will to turn off the TV. It's just really a pain in the ass, and I think I actually miss that ole SOB. Anyway, I quit watching during the week and only watch on weekends...but I hope to leave it all behind very soon.

I also setup my automatic billpay today through my bank and I must say I love it. The money goes the day I tell them and I can schedule it weeks in advance and can cancel a payment the week it's due. This in addition to my automatic deposit and saving transfer each month...I'm an automatic guy. Does it make me nervous you ask well hell no...Ok just a bit but I embrace the unknown. Plus we all know that when the machines get out of line John Conner is going to kick the shit out of them for sassing the human experience. Werd.

As a side note to the previous bit I read the following the same night I set up my billpay and it made me wonder what kind of crazy mind gorilla the universe is trying to put on me now. I mean I agree with the article there are way to many useless devices being cranked out by brilliant people, but hey I'm not giving back the toaster/microwave combo or the .3 inch TV in my Fridge. And Conner if you come for them I gots a little justice for you sir!
